Hi, I'm Dr. Paul Etchison.

I'm a 14-year practice owner, author of two books on dental practice management, host of the Dental Practice Heroes Podcast, husband to my high school sweetheart, and father to two amazing daughters.

I used to be a 4-day-a-week dentist. Now, I practice just 1 day a week and my practice produces nearly $6M annually.

But it wasn’t always like this.

Years ago, I looked “successful” on the outside: a busy, growing practice, great income, happy patients. But behind the scenes, I was burning out. My stress impacted my health, my marriage, and my time with my kids. I’d come home late, exhausted, and overhear my children joking that, “Daddy barely even lives here..."  They'd laugh. I wouldn't.

Those moments hit me hard. I realized I wasn’t just missing the moments that mattered,  I wasn’t even present for the few I got. I was a great provider but a shadow of myself everywhere else.

When COVID forced me to slow down, I finally saw what I’d been missing:  Life is too short to spend it buried in your practice.

I needed a change... I needed a better system.
